It's happening again gamers

Just as the first final boss of the main game, Elden Beast Devin, from Marketing, was so bad that he made me quit the game in disgust for literally a year, I can already feel that same vibe of bullshit happening with the final boss of the DLC

There's a significant trend in the DLC of bosses who are determined to kill you literally seconds after entering the arena, through charge moves, fuck off huge explosions, or both, and let me say, having zero space for setup to use any of the nice toys that the game intends you to use to balance out boss fights is extremely fucking aggravating

And I'm not a fuckboy purist out here not utilizing systems, I use spells, I use ashes, I actually leveled Vitality, and hell I've done a pretty thorough sweep of the whole map for scooby snacks to boost the DLC-specific stat sticks

But when it takes longer sitting outside the boss summoning NPCs, who have plot and dialogue during the fight, so are clearly intended to be part of it, than it does for the boss to kill me if I don't frame perfect dodge three moves in the first ten seconds of the fight, something is clearly going fucking wrong over there, or at least is overcompensating for something

Why does it take like fifteen-twenty seconds to summon an NPC anyway, it's not like there are servers chugging along for it like an actual player
