so a philosophy of mine is that four year olds are correct and saying words incorrectly is never not funny. saying "ayple" instead of "apple"? that's a banger. knee slapper. top tier. and while raffi didn't write "Apples & Bananas", imo he created the definitive recording and i'm generally pro-raffi. so when i say "getting raffipilled" i am referring to slowly becoming incapable of saying things correctly at all. i have become fully raffipilled wrt the 'nt suffix. i am always saying "catn't" if i can't find the cats, for instance.

and this is how, a little bit ago, i found myself chuckling at the idea of contracting "did not" to "didn't"

I have a habit of referring to a hundred and fifty of something as "a buck fifty" which is fine for like hit points or sheaves of wheat but becomes problematic when the thing there is a hundred and fifty of is dollars

somewhere in the history of the webcomic Overcompensating is a strip where jeffrey does some kind of harm to someone in their absentia, and waves it off by saying "it's okay, i left him like six ounces of money" and i've wanted to make this a thing i do for over 15 years but it's a bad idea. it's a problem.

me and my little sister have this thing where we just remove letters from words. if i get a doctor pepper i say "ockr eppr" and its the funniest thing in the world. sometimes take it a step further by contorting your mispronunciation into another word. if she gets a sprite it's "spit".

also other languages are good. point at the cat and go "gato" or "gata" or even better "gatita" (small cat, or kitten) with flawless spanish enunciation.

goodbye has long since become goomba. because thats funny. walking out the door and just yell "GOOMBA!" as you close the door behind you.

its very hard not to repeat all the mispronunciations my son makes. but i remember them all. latest favorites are: dananies (banana), crut (truck), stawbie (strawberry), triangle (carndle), and peanut butter (peepeeya)
