i went to goodwill for costume pieces for a drag king performance, and in a wild coincidence, it looks like a queen must have just cleared out her shoe collection?? it was mostly all size 11ish, and i'm 9.5 so the boots could be made wearable with insoles and padding, but at $50 a pair i was like eh, i can get new knee high boots that fit me correctly for just an extra $30 if i shop carefully.
but then while i was shopping pants they put out a couple more pairs that were a little smaller... and $50 is a much better deal for over the knee boots which generally retail for like $115-200. the pair i got was still a little too big, but fit perfectly with insoles added! the heel is also higher than i'm used to, but like, just the right amount where i don't feel unsteady, just a little stretched.
