It upsets me more than it really ought to that all these "year in review" things happen during December. The year isn't over yet! December is a busy time! This is a perfect activity for the post-New Years January lull but no, Steam and Spotify demand it happen now

100% agreed. Plus movie releases are often targeted for Chirstmastime so they can be in the running for the Academy Awards next year! You can’t “year in review” movies until January!
it makes me So Bonkers, apparently spotify stops collecting data in like october so it's literally like 75% of a year
Backloggd doing it now means my year in review includes games from last December. Which I then forget to include because, why would I think of those as appropriate
