my partner's ex-wife (also my ex-fiance but everyone forgets that they're my ex too) visits a lot, bc they're the mother of our child and bc my partner is still good friends w them for some reason. lately they've been bringing their new partner over as well, and my partner thinks they're great, the two of them totally hit it off. and they seem cool and all but oh my god i do not know how to politely convey that i am simply not interested in making friends with my ex's new partner and participating in group hang outs. -_-

#i've gotten pretty good at socializing but it's still draining to put up with a situation THIS awkward#if my partner wants to forgive them for the shitty things they've done and the smaller shitty things they keep doing that's their choice#but they are my ex too and i still hold a couple grudges and i do not like them! i do not want to be friends w them or their friends!#but we can be cordial to each other for the sake of co-parenting and they can just accept that i'll never like them and that's reasonable of me#but now there's this new person and none of it is *their* fault so i have to not let on that i don't want to be friends w them#which is so hard#whenever i meet someone new they think that i hate them at first#even if i rly like them#so how am i supposed to hide when i actually DON'T like someone
