my partner's ex-wife (also my ex-fiance but everyone forgets that they're my ex too) visits a lot, bc they're the mother of our child and bc my partner is still good friends w them for some reason. lately they've been bringing their new partner over as well, and my partner thinks they're great, the two of them totally hit it off. and they seem cool and all but oh my god i do not know how to politely convey that i am simply not interested in making friends with my ex's new partner and participating in group hang outs. -_-
oh my god the new partner just sat down next to me where i was sitting upstairs specifically in order to be away from the downstairs hang outs. FUCK not being rude, if no one is gonna be considerate enough to even just tell me beforehand that the ex (and new partner) are about to come visit, then i am not gonna be too considerate to just get up and leave the room when they enter
