check the settings page!
don't know what this means? read more about .beat internet time!
which is a lot more than i would have expected given it only shipped 164 beats ago

I love this idea of gating quirky features behind a cohost plus subscription
I love how yall put the worst timestamp possible behind a paywall.
I knew this was a good subscription!
i was like "why would you do this?" and then i saw it was for cohost plus and was in emphatic agreement.
As a local swatch enthusiast I am excited about this. I think the Date section of the timestamp is incorrect in swatch mode though, as its using the local date rather than the date after conversion to .beats, e.g. the timestamp "2022-12-29T18:32:20.242-06:00" -> Should be "Dec 30, 2022 @063" but is displayed as "Dec 29, 2022 @063". Though I don't think anyone will actually notice or care who isn't an insane person like myself.
this is a bug i caught immediately after shipping lmao, the fix is already in the deploy pipeline
it's been a long drive on the information superhighway, but i finally got to where i was going
if you're supporting alternative time then i respectfully submit my post about a way we could do Sanford Fleming Alphabetical Hours here https://cohost.org/selenotrope/post/744536-this-was-a-great-ide that i posted just yesterday @240
if the sub money doesn't start rolling in after this there is no hope left for the internet
feature request from the #microblogvember "a better unit of measurement for time" prompt if you continue to challenge the social constructs of time: "bring me back to lives"
i do kinda wish this used utc+ or -12 instead of just going with "where swatch is" for the universal timezone but i suppose implementing that would kinda be making a separate standard from Swatch Internet Time
not that im opposed to cohost internet time ofc but it def complicates it a little
The fractional part of the Julian Date out to four decimal digits would be precisely that (since it's days since noon at Greenwich, to make life easier for European astronomers.)
Would making an extension or userscript to enable this for non-plus users be technically considered piracy/illegal? I don’t want to break laws when I’m up to my shenanigans
I love this feature, it's fun and exactly in the spirit of what drew me here,
But are the avatar shapes or other promised perks coming soon too?
haha this is horrible. what the fuck. i love this. im so hpapy i'm a COHOST PLUS subscriber
this is the kind of transparency I live for rofl, how many new subs in the last 180 beats?
im preparing for the eventual release of the anti software software club smart watch which will only display .beats
That Wikipedia article is surprisingly bereft of any indication of how silly this is.
