For anyone wondering:
The bread recipe is adapted from this recipe, but with maple syrup instead of treacle and egg. The dough's a little dense, which probably means that I didn't leave enough proving time. The maple syrup works really well, though.
The cheese recipe mostly follows this recipe. It tastes good, but doesn't quite have the texture or flavour of cheddar - it's almost like a pâté.
Lots to improve on for future batches!
