It's seriously messed up how the three main disability accommodations in capitalist societies are:
- nepotism
- marry right
- die
Absolutely wretched system.
Thank you for making me feel seen this morning. Much of the time for us it's desperately fighting to stave off the latter a bit longer, and it feels like no one notices, or doesn't believe us when we say that it's either die or keep up an impossible to win fight on a teetering narrow beam above an unfathomably deep pit.
I am continually terrified my balancing act trying to stay alive will tilt and ill fall, recent federal food stamp changes is already threatening that balance
