Step 1: Formatting your SD Card
If you're using the SD card that came with your 3ds or you've already been using in your 3ds you can skip this step. This is specifically for if you're putting a new SD card in.If you're using a new SD card and not one that's already in your 3ds make sure to reformat it. To do this you can either the file folder or a website (http://ridgecrop.co.uk/index.htm) and make sure your 3ds is able to read the SD card. The 3ds can only read SD cards in FAT32 format. It is recommended to not use anything above 128gb in size. Most people go with a 64gb from what I've read.

Make sure to carefully read titles of games and their descriptions if there is one. Some titles listed are actually only updates or DLC for the game. Some games only work on the "New 3ds" and if you don't have a New 3ds they won't work.
Games that say "Physical Release Only" will still work and download fine.
Games that state "May Require Locale Emulation" requires some extra work that I personally haven't done so I'd recommend your own research. Games that don't say that though will work even if they're from another region because Luma has made it where most games are region free.
Once you have added your games make sure to save early and often. So far I've only had one game crash but it'd be better to be safe than lose progress. :3
