I'm anxious to make this post because I haven't made one before but I may need some help financially. My fiance is job hunting at the moment but we will be receiving a cat on Monday from a family friend. He's going to be coming with food and a litter box but we need help to have litter and food for after that until my fiance is able to find work. Any little bit helps.
We are getting help from friends and family as well! This isn't the only source. :)
Adding this here because someone on mastodon decided to comment not getting a cat if we need to ask for donations. I'm not putting this on mastodon because I'm just going to avoid asking for help there now. There are reasons as to why this is happening. On any normal occasion we would decline but it is a time sensitive situation. We can guarantee a happy home with just this bit of help. My fiance is incredibly close to getting a job we're literally just waiting on the interview dates that are coming up in the next month. And also part of it is for my mental health because having a pet has always helped. We have friends that plan to help us too so the cat isn't showing up with nothing. We have support but having more outlets is always helpful.
It's frustrating having a comment like this posted because I shouldn't have to explain myself. And my fiance and I planned to adopt soon after they were working so why spend $100 later just to adopt?
