Gotta start with a positive. This might be some of the best women's content AEW has had on a PPV. I was hoping for Hikaru Shida to retain, but I wasn't mad about Timeless Toni Storm taking it. And Julia Hart getting the TBS belt? Exciting! She's been amazing lately, and I can't wait to see where her title run goes. And where Skye Blue goes from here too.

Will Ospreay is a huge get. Golden Jets v. Young Bucks was solid and I'm so curious as to what happens from here with the Bucks, especially regarding Kenny Omega. Same with MJF. I thought the whole progression of events was a bit sloppy, but had its moments for sure. But I'm eager to see the buildup for MJF v. Samoa Joe, and I'm almost glad we didn't get a payoff on the Devil identity, because that means we get more of it.

Now though, I gotta talk about the Texas Deathmatch. Let me start off by saying that the Swerve v. Hangman story has been great. Swerve Strickland is an obscenely good and effective heel, and the back and forth promos they're both doing have been wonderful. Hell, the match was good last night! But oh my god.

Hands down the most violent AEW match I've seen. Frankly, it was too much. The staple gun, the broken glass, the BLOOD DRINKING? It was nauseating. When they started using chairs or setting up a table it felt nice to return to normalcy. Ending in strangulation with a chain too? Just, yikes. But it was so overwhelming and frankly disturbing that I had trouble even focusing on the match that came after.

Ladder match was pretty cool though. And Orange Cassidy v. Jon Moxley was good too. All in all, I love wrestling.
