Herr's is actually doing a pretty cool thing right now. For those not in the know, Herr's products are made in Pennsylvania, a nice regional brand. Like most snack brands, they of course have rolled out some limited time flavors. Pierogi, ravioli, and stromboli. I've tried two out of three so far, and they're really good.
But that's not the cool part. The cool part is that flavors are actually based on specific restaurants' dishes. It's not a stromboli chip, it's a Romano's Special Hot Italian Stromboli chip. The pierogi ones are based on Mom Mom's Kitchen. The ravioli? Talluto's. Small, local, Philadelphia-area restaurants. The stromboli one? Yeah it makes me want to get Romano's. I love Romano's. Birthplace of the stromboli. Ravioli one was tasty enough that I want to go to Talluto's and try the real thing. This is the third year they've done this, I think.
It's just an actual cool way to highlight local restaurants.
