Call it what you want, but it is very difficult to see artists post 'alts' of free media behind a subscription paywall exclusively with no plans for delayed release when I am too disabled to work. Preferred content kept out of sight is frustrating when I don't have the resources to access it. I would honestly rather pay for a collection at some point than take on a subscription just because I am so forgetful and would make an automatic payment I couldn't afford to.
There is a feeling like maybe people got the wrong idea about subscription sites like Patreon. It's there to help you make the things you want to make. It's not a good gallery site. It's not a good archival site. Nobody can stop you from hoarding things there and leveraging it as a valuable cache of media, but as someone who has used Patreon in the past, it is mind-numbingly slow to pick through long histories of uploads for the genres I prefer, and I couldn't see myself going back to it even if I could afford it.
If you upload your paywall art, even just on a delayed schedule, you have this cripple's gratitude.
