Shape-shifty mutant chimera hermaphrodite. Problematic garden pest. American badger kinnie. That rotten tranny faggot cockroach queer.

I'm pro-kink and don't take kindly to kink-shaming or antis. If you can't get along with paraphilic people you might just be a bigot. Cohost was not pro-kink, and that's bad.

An exciting day for Cohost. The hardening of the stance with cub being firmly allowed has me thinking maybe this place could survive the antis. There are still some challenges with the current policy but I'm optimistic that progress forward in this direction will mean a more inclusive space.

I'll have to write more on this later because some of the policy wording definitely needs some clarification, and unfortunately the current position for site guidelines kinda feels like it's a bit tailored to the personal preferences of the admins, when Cohost could really go beyond what other websites have done with a more open upload policy.

The community seems split about this ruling, which is pretty predictable. I think it's very timely with what FA is trying to pull right now.

If you have a problem with cub or lolisho then you should be blacklisting it. If you don't want it on the website on principle then you are a cop and you can log off.

I appreciate this concern, but must highlight that since posts don't get served to people unless they're following another user or specific tags the CW thing seems pretty redundant. Someone who is all about cub or lolisho would be expected to self-moderate in a fashion incongruous with what virtually any other adult artist would be expected to. Doesn't feel right.

Tag blacklisting and account muting should be sufficient in most other contexts, but no system is perfect. Users need to be emotionally accountable and do what they need to to be safe an happy, the onus shouldn't fall on the people who are putting the work in just to have fun in a shrinking iceberg of art community opportunities.

But honestly this is an axe I would grind another day. The language around what depictions of minors can and cant be doing between the boundary of what may not be posted an what can be posted with a CW is nebulous, and that is the focus of my thinking at present.
