Can not get over the fact that Cohost is currently following every plot beat Discord went through at this point. The hip webdevs who you can totally relate to made something only appetizing to puritans and venture capitalists.
I wanted to refrain from comment until there are more words on the situation, but this shoot-from-the-hip attitude with community moderation and site administration has put ASSC in a position where neither side of this decisionmaking can be at ease. The precedent has now been made where site policy can be changed with as little as an hour's notice, even immediately after request for feedback. It makes me wonder if they saw something in finances happen and had a little pee-pants moment.
I may go on later about how the policy as of this moment plays favorites for social conservatism, but I'm tired and frankly pretty exhausted by how net spaces are becoming useless and hostile to the most marginalized among us. There is a vanishingly narrow selection of options right now for creatives telling their stories through cub and lolisho genres; works of fiction conspicuously absent from considerations made for other dark fantasy genres and handled more often than not as an indication of degeneracy or moral failing. I have a great and sustained dislike for this line of reasoning and wish that everyone opposed merely on intuition and principle would kindly knock it off.
