Shape-shifty mutant chimera hermaphrodite. Problematic garden pest. American badger kinnie. That rotten tranny faggot cockroach queer.

I'm pro-kink and don't take kindly to kink-shaming or antis. If you can't get along with paraphilic people you might just be a bigot. Cohost was not pro-kink, and that's bad.

what news websites and blogs do you read? of any kind at all, general news or on a specific topic, whatever you're into. my news/things-to-read bookmarks folder is looking a little barren (right now i just have the verge, current affairs, aftermath, macrumors, and the new republic and ao3 but that's in a different folder) and i would like to have things to read that isn't just "apple news app" or "doomscroll on cohost or bluesky".

also if you would rechost your response so more people can see and respond and maybe also get some recommendations that would also be super. it would be very nice if i could get responses from all across the site. thank you!!!

Democracy Now! is a very useful independent source. They can't cover a lot of things every day because that's just independent news for you, but I check every weekday to see how current events are changing and evolving. They get good interviews, too.

in reply to @purrl's post:

for World News i tend to look at AP News and sometimes the bbc, for tech stuff it’s usually the verge or ars technica, and techdirt for “technology companies are fucking awful” news, and for Gamer Shit i look at polygon and rock paper shotgun

in terms of what blogs i read, cendyne, soatok and Xe’s blogs, artemis and bunnie, old vintage computing research and ken shirriff

I read Haaretz for Israeli news, and a local newspaper for more local + american coverage. I also have been a fan of New York Times (which most libraries offer free subscriptions to!) but I don't read that one often. oh I also love the New Yorker for their culture reporting
