Yeah it could do texturing, but not bilinear filtering. So any game that needed that (i.e. 99.9% of them) was back to good old software. It was a total con.
We had that card as well and I think it didn't support OpenGL?
At least to play Q2 or Half Life in anything but software mode I needed a Voodoo2..
What bugs me about 90s and early 00s video card advertisements is that they would always have a piece of artwork on them that the card itself was totally incapable of rendering.
