SlushieCat

just a silly little creature

  • they/them

a 30-something cat creature with gender confusion
I really like PSO1, Elder Scrolls, weird old games, prog music, mac and cheese, and other things but I'm really bad at remembering stuff when I want to make a list
I wish I could be isekai'd into a world that sucked slightly less

No luck (bad or good) involved at all.

Editing to add a short epilogue: James Proctor had two options at this point, either make his next putt from the footpath where the disc crossed OB with one penalty stroke, or abandon the throw and retake the putt from the same position as the first time with a penalty stroke, so of course he went with the latter option. Only problem is that his putter is all the way down there and he did not bring his bag up the hill. So after Gannon made his putt, James borrowed Gannon's putter to finish the hole. This is perfectly legal to do.

I'm actually ok with there being different baskets, some just being worse than others. Makes it the same as anyone going out and playing at their local course, maybe they have good ones, maybe bad. Or just ones that prefer to be hit different.

But the flip side is, if you're a manufacturer and make really spitty baskets, and they get used for worlds, and everyone sees your baskets spitting..... well there you go.

For real though, like 5 years ago I played a tournament where I had a tap-in putt for par on a difficult hole which would have given me a stroke on most of the field due to the tricky winds that day. The basket completely rejected my dead-center putt. Luckily it did not roll away but I still feel the bitterness of that happening whenever I am reminded of it.
