I was going through my desk the other night and found the first paint job I ever did on a kit. It’s definitely not great, but I’ve got a bit of nostalgia for it. My now girlfriend got me into gunpla back in 2019, when I went to hang out with her one weekend. A few months later I picked up a full metal panic kit and decided I’d give it a go.
I did not know about thinning paints. I didn’t know about the difference between acrylic and lacquer. And lord knows I didn’t know you needed multiple coats. He definitely looks rough, but it’s a good little reminder of how far I’ve come.
