Following my old TV chost from earlier, I thought I'd jump ahead. Of course the coolest TV ever created is a built-in Dreamcast.

Meet the Divers 2000 CX-1 . I cannot do justice to how fucking RAD this TV is. The sharp colors, the droplet design with hidden input slots. The pop-top CD tray and, most importantly, reactive speaker sides that light up to the audio.

If you're looking to blow 10 grand, this isn't the worst way to do it.

electronics took a collective step backwards when they stopped being made in several pretty colors and having cute antennas.

the odd shape seems like a nightmare to find a good spot for in most spaces, but I appreciate it nonetheless

It would definitely be hard to show off effectively, given how every side of it is interesting, but it's only a bit deeper than a PC monitor of the time and your outlets wouldn't take extra room, since they all point downward (they're underneath the bend of the droplet).

I would give anything for something of this Mac era of style over function to return. Turn my whole house into a kitsch nightmare.

there was a time around 2005 where i was going back and forth over whether i should get one of these because they were often available boxed on ebay...i decided i could never pay $400 for such a thing, way too expensive 🥲 hehe
