Skyward Sword is still an all time personal favorite Zelda entry for me. Even in spite of the things that make it a bit annoying or disappointing, it's still a solid and fairly rich experience.

Like, I was gonna complain about about the repeated boss battles and reused areas, or the pacing that brings it all to a debatably questionable high hour count. But there's mostly neat things in those revisits, especially the desert area.
And you know what? I do want to see Ghirahim again. Thanks.
And yeah, smacking The Imprisoned's weird little toes and knocking that motherfucker down is kinda oddly satisfying.

Also it has Peatrice.

So many people on the Internet are mean about Peatrice but genuinely she's always been one of my favorites. Also, Skyward Sword has such detailed animation for just regular NPC dialogue that I can't help but want to see all of what every one of them has to say everyone is such a character! Also, I think that the story is a standout in the series for being compelling in a way that's impressive for a video game in general not just for a Zelda game. There's interesting themes and attention to detail that ties each individual environment into the narrative meaningfully. Also motion controls are fun! I'm such a sucker for control gimmicks!

Ditto to all that!

Sadly, the appeal of Peatrice and Motion Controls aren't for everyone. Which is a shame, those controls resulted in some of the most fun and memorable puzzles, bosses, and gadgets.

And speaking of memorable, yeah. With it's limitations (or reservations) Skyward Sword made the most out of everything and everyone in it. You get really familiar with it all and it leaves a positively lasting impression thanks to how well designed, considered, and implemted it all is.

Yeah. It's neat.
