popplio

when they announced popplio back in may 2016 i became obsessed. i remember painting this on the day of the announcement (or a following day at the latest). afterwards i bought a secondhand 2ds, all so i could have my very own popplio

this is one of those ancient pieces i still appreciate but its from before my laptops hard drive died at some point and i dont know if i can recover any psds from that period anymore. ill have to look at all old pendrives and hack into old google drives to see if i backed up anything. but i managed to get a png from tumblr that i upscaled and then shrunk and the result is good enough for me to post on here as is

remember when the alola starters were revealed and the internet at large was bullying popplio but you wouldnt know that from just social media (at least in my experience) bc we just have other visual artists on there who have taste and everyone loved popplio
