It's hard to articulate to younger audiences just how impactful Psygnosis has been to video games. On PC, the publisher had a unique horror experience with Ecstatica. While the 1994 game has its troubled controls and awkward camera angles, it did offer something never before seen. The entire game is mostly built by ellipsoids, rather than triangular polygons, as it was technologically more feasible at the time. This spherical approach allowed for a more elaborate world, full of creepy crawlies that are trying to kill you. And it was mostly done by one person!
