i have been using these cursors for about 2 days now and i don't think i'm ever going back lol

it sounds really goofy to say but it has made The Computer a much more pleasant experience and maybe that's me just convincing myself that it's that but who cares. It's cute! The little pointer is really cute! The only change I had to make was set the 'Link Select' cursor to the same one as 'Text Select' because an open palm is hard to point at stuff but other than that it's really nice!

Regarding Linux support, any chance you could ask them to add at least 2.0x scale to the Xcursor files? I'm running a mixed DPI setup with 2.0 and 1.0 scale monitors (3840x2160, 1920x1080, both 24"). Xcursor format does support multiple images per cursor, and also multiple sizes.

If they feel like sharing the Inkscape (I guess?) using shell scripts to automate conversion from SVG to PNG to Xcursor, I can try adding multiple resolutions myself and share back.

Here’s what they said when I shared your comment with them

I mean 2x would be the most feasable to do, because all the Windows and MacOS cursors are already 2x the Linux resolution (linux uses the MDPI icons)

So perhaps see if they would be happy creating the Linux cursors from the Windows cur files, that seems the easiest way to go about this?

One of the great fatalities of the current philosophy in design of creating the Perfect Correct Design has been the ability to just customize the websites and apps you use so that they feel like yours.

Like there is something to be said about the gain in accessibility and usability, but I hope were starting to get back to a spot where you can have your squeaky clean UI and I can press a button to graffiti some anime portraits and quotes all over it

the customization takes me back to the more whimsical days of my youth when I cared more about customizing aspects of my OS and damn, I missed it a lot more than I thought, this is sick as hell
