i remember watching this part in the theater and grappling in the moment with the idea that the bad guy for this new trilogy was gonna be Giant. I was like well this certainly changes things...the new bad guys have a Huge Sheev.... how are our heroes gonna deal with a really big guy...star wars has never had a really big guy before...
just thinking about this. a great reveal in TLJ would have been that he's actually way BIGGER than the hologram. increases the stakes. he was actually toning it down on the call with kylo. guy is like gozilla sized. x wings zapping him in the ear in episode 9, etc. Big Snoke. just worth thinking about
the only unacceptable size for snoke to have been was exactly the size of a normal human man. and look what we got. i think the events of the years following this decision speak for themselves as to what a mistake this was for the human race
imagining a "The Last Jedi RUINED Star Wars" type guy who really likes all the "let the past die" stuff but is furious that Rian Johnson backed off from the premise of a Kaiju star wars villain. was expecting rey to kill him in episode 9 via some Shadow of the Columbus-type maneuver. snoke's like "but...you're small!" and she says some corny shit like "size.......matters NOT!!" (picture of kevin smith crying in the theater)
