I absolutely LOVE the No More Heroes games! They’re fun to play, and the plot is deeper than you’re initially led to believe. NMH2 is the weakest of the games, but NMH1, TSA, and NMH3 are some of my favorite games ever.

How often do you get to play a game that is an autobiography of the director’s life in games? A meditation on being creative in an industry that doesn’t always value that. No More Heroes finally crossed into Suda’s “Kill The Past”, and Grasshopper Manufacture faced its own past. And made way for their future and the future of indie devs. Anyway…it’s real neat.

Absolutely! I didn’t get to play The Silver Case until after TSA. But now I see that the Death Balls were like action-packed Transistor chapters and the Travis Strikes Back visual novels were like Placebo chapters that add more context. And the writing felt like something we haven’t seen from Suda since…maybe even Killer7? Like, I love NMH’s story, but the Suda51 quirks were put more into the game mechanics and characters than the story in that one…ANYWAY, I just really love Travis Strikes Again!
