The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a milestone in video games or, at least, their marketing, which goes all the way back to its original release. Not only did developer Bethesda choose the aesthetic 11/11/11 as a release date, but( they went even deeper, by asking fans to: "Start your creation engines." (which was the title of the, now archived, blog)
Parents who would call their child born on the iconic date Dovahkiin, after the game's protagonist, would receive a lifetime supply of Bethesda games.
That's right, Bethesda asked people to fulfill their breeding kink... And someone did.
The Kellermeyers posted a picture of their newborn, Dovahkiin, which was then verified by the developer, to claim the prize of free Bethesda games (which are now all complimentary, by design, on Game Pass btw). Years later, they sat down for an interview that states that Bethesda kept their word, even though only the husband is using this gift. It's an interesting read.
