without resorting to svgs: if you use slideupright it behaves a bit more like marquee

div wider than the page + negative delay to start playing animation sooner

yeah the intended use of slideupright and slideupleft is probably as a transition, where the element starts from extremely small and maximizes itself to fill a space (that's why I cut off the first few seconds of the animation)
