On the one hand: this re-exploit was exactly the one I half suspected might work
On the other hand: staff, please don't disable vars entirely, I have some legitimate ideas for making markup size smaller with them [e.g. if you have any repeated style such as a font family list that's longer than eight characters]
I emailed them a patch that should prevent position: fixed without disabling CSS vars or anything. I just hope they do it as a new age, I don't want all the posts to break :(
