I should mention that a few weeks back I translated the 1994 South Korean DOS game into English. The game runs under DOSBox so is quite accessible (as does the patcher). The game is like a mix between Prince of Persia and Flashback, but with a heavy focus on dialogue between characters. It has a semi open-world design, anime cutscenes, nice pixel art, and adlib support too for music (which I think I prefer, but I am a fan of adlib).
The game was never released outside of South Korea and reportedly sold only around 5000 units, as such the developers did not make any further games in this style, though a remark in a game magazine hinted they might have liked to.
