Captain of the Dream Harrier & lover of games that are old, jank, and/or dank

Today's pickup is this NEC Ready 9856 from 1997 (I think). Packing an AMD K-6 3D Processor (which I believe is an early K6-2) at 333mhz with onboard video handled by the SiS 5597 and onboard sound powered by an ESS Audiodrive 1869F. The tower is a neat inverted design that opens from the opposite side of most PC cases I've used. While neat, the IO is now at the bottom which requires more fiddling where the pc is at right now. Looking forward to getting some gaming going on this machine. Maybe in the future I could get some kind of 3D acceleration like a voodoo 2. Maybe even one of those GUSlike cards for some different sound for say Jazz Jackrabbit, Epic Pinball, or some OMF.

This is DOSember's fault that I now have 2 old PCs. This new one and I have Dell with a P4 and Geforce 2MX. So between the 2 I think I'll be covered for a good amount of stuff except for the early stuff... Should... should I get a 486? No I need more control. This is it, for now.
