This week's schedule is a bit tentative since I may disappear any of these days. But if I don't, we're be starting a playthrough of a low poly 3d collectathon platformer called Cavern of Dreams on Tuesday. Wednesday we continue are metal-vania demon hunting adventure with Jrago. Friday my RPG Rehab continues as we climb further up the tower in Makai Toushi SaGa for the Wonderswan Color. Weekend is up in the air as well.

Here we go with a proper schedule again. I have to take Wednesday off but we'll still have lots of fun together. Tuesday I'll be playing the steam title that is burning up the charts, Devil Dumper Doris. Friday we begin Snakeman's RPG Rehab (oh, that could also be a series huh) with SaGa fan translation for Wonderswan. Saturday and Sunday are both up in the air and may include surprise streams. We'll see.

As for thoughts about a new series, I've been streaming so many anime games recently and while I do wish to take a break from it for a bit it did get me curious about streaming licensed anime fighting games. The series would be called Anime Assault and would be broken up into either series (Sailor Moon, DBZ, Gundam, etc), devs, or console (for the series with only 1 or 2 games). Might even consider adding beat em ups to it as well.

Since I think fighting games are more fun with another person, I'd like to collaborate with someone that both knows a thing or two about fighting games and the anime property of that episode. So each episode may have different guests considering. This is still a work in progress and I know I have a lot of dormant series including the collab specific Amiga Amigos, but I think it'd be a very good time. If you read this and we're friends or interact on discord/twitter/here and like some anime and fighting games then hit me up.

One thing that is difficult will be netplay solutions. While fightcade will cover most things arcade, SNES, & Genesis, Other systems like the X68K (It has a Sailor Moon fighter), Saturn, Gamecube, PS2, and handhelds will require different approaches like parsec or retroarch. I know for PS1 there is at least a duckstation branch that has rollback netplay so that helps.

Since we're past AniMay Plus α, I thought I'd give anime a break. Though I think I'd still like to do some kind of focused anime fighter showcase collab sometime. Some other stream ideas I think I'd like to get to are....

  • Snakeman RPG revival arc: So famously I kinda fell out of enjoying turn based jrpgs towards the end of the PS1 era (last big one I played to completion was Chrono Cross I think). The idea would be to play some RPGs that I've always wanted to try. Saga 1 remake on the WonderSwan seems like a good start. I've also never really poke'mon'd outside gen 1 as a kid so I think the idea is that I play Pokemon Black or White. We'll figure this out.

  • Steam Backlog: I have picked up some inexpensive indie games that I've been wanting to get to. Some of them include the classic Devil Dumper Doris, to new metal (not numetal) vania Jrago 1 & 2. We have low poly platformers like Cavern of Dreams and even some recent(ish) puzzlers like Elechead.

  • Mega Man Zero series: Its kind of funny that I am Snakeman and my vtuber is such Legends vibes but I haven't streamed any Mega Man games on the channel except for the occasional X1 treat. Well I've never really played the Zero series on GBA (or ZX/ZXA on DS) so I've been encouraged by other crew members to go for it.

  • Return of Amiga Amigos, Commodore Cruisin, and Pasocom Penumbra(?): Ok still working on the naming of the last one but I've got to be honest that I haven't touched an old crusty computer, whether it be European or Japanese. Right now I'm waiting to see how the new DE10Nano clone shakes out but if we can put together a MiSTer, I wish to move forward with these plans.

  • Assault Suit Series & Valis Series 2nd Looks: So in the past, I've played through all the Assault Suit games (minus Valken 2) as well as the Valis series (appearing on PC-Engine). Since then, a lot has changed. I've become a Vtuber. Valis received multiple English language collections. Assault Suit Leynos 2 got an English release and Valken got a new English release in the form of Re:Classified. I think it's time to return to these series. Perhaps as a donothon/affiliateversary thing? We'll see?

  • La Mulana 1 & 2: Ok this is like a huge elephant in the room. How did I go multiple MSX Marchs and played so many search actions that I haven't played La Mulana in any form. Well I own 2 now so maybe there's no more excuses. That'll be interesting.

  • Return of Spooktober & DOSember + Debut of Advert August(?): I've still got big plans for future horror and DOS streams. Originally April was going to be Advert April but I wanted a break from themed months so it was pushed to August. From classics like Avoid the Noid, to obscure European snacks on Amiga, we'll try to have a fun selection. Expect Coca-Cola Kid vs Pepsi-man as that is a rite of passage for streaming

I still keep a massive list of game ideas and stream ideas to help me organize all my thoughts. If you got any suggestions, my asks are open here and I'm on Discord. If you made it this far then you deserve a trophy.

  • I kind of want to play The Adventures of Rad Gravity: Been a long time since I've touched this one. Maybe more Kuso in the future.
