Yeah, there's a strong sense of that, followed by the most insane quantifications that only expose how little he thinks of Palestinians, how little of Gazans in particular

Like I understand that the level of propaganda is extremely effective given the atmosphere of war that has existed in the region that stands to prove it, but it's also like.
Hey there's b'tselem and breaking the silence, why do they believe what they do.

but then again.
American domestic propaganda is also embarrassingly effective at convincing "center left" people that American foreign policy hasn't been a colossal disaster throughout history that created this current turmoil.

I mean, if we're going to talk about domestic indoctrination, in the US you're pretty much told from birth that this is the best country in history and that everything we do ever is in the furtherance of freedom and democracy, plus that capitalism is absolutely integral to such things, and digging your way up out of that shit is very difficult (unless you happen to be one of those people that the system is actively trying to destroy, of course), never mind seeing our history through the lens of 'hmm, maybe not as benevolent and selfless as we've been told.' And then there's the trick of "sure, we did some bad stuff years ago, but we're so much better now!"

Yeah, I understand all of that.
I guess I mean more like... People who understand that the Iraq War and War on Terror era that they lived through was built on a lie, and remember it was built on a lie.

But now they more or less trust all of its current interventions and statements because it finally got one right in their minds.
