I'm not really the kind of person who demands material goods and wealth for the occasion, never been much of a partier, don't usually invite people over (and for that matter, know maybe 2 or 3 people outside of immediate family to invite over). But I've been thinking about it, and I think it'd be really cool if some of the very awesome people who follow me might make something. Doesn't have to be big and elaborate. I'd love to see interpretative art of the stuff I've been writing, but even something like a Kid Pix doodle of Neo Turf Masters, hell, draw something in Mario Paint, or PETSCII, or whatever weird-ass paint program you can find. More of a musician or a writer? Y'know, I'll take whatever someone feels like making. My tastes are broad. Golf sims, solitaire games, first-person shooters, film noir, Columbo, animation as a medium, retro computing, that kinda thing.
I mean, I don't expect people to go tripping over themselves to serve me. I'm in my late 30s. Everybody I know is roughly as broke as I am, or otherwise needs to mind their spending. So I ask this of you, only if you feel like you have the time or energy to spare.
If you'd rather just pay money for something, well, I won't say no, but make sure your needs are covered first (and get in touch with me before you go buying me stuff, so I can give you some idea of the stuff I already have). And if you can spare neither the money nor the artistic impulse, maybe even just leave a nice comment or a like-button. I'll at least be happy that you thought of me.
I've waffled on posting this all week. Maybe despite keeping it in drafts for days and trying to edit it to sound less depressing, it still sounds kinda depressing. But at this point? Hell with it. Let's put it out there and see who responds.
