This is… honestly a really tough question. I do have a name for being a villainess because I’m in the mood for that sometimes, and that name is Val, and as Val I commit terrible evil acts like transforming people if they want me to and say it’s ok.
As soon as villainy turns into “real” villainy, I’m out. But it’s fun to think about all my terrible schemes (turning everyone’s clothes into fursuits on a Friday) and my cool evil lair (a confusing nonsense castle like in Mario 64). So, yknow, there’s that.
But in the end I think I’m a “good things is good” softie. I only wanna “corrupt” people when the “corruption” is actually something good, like a self-realization kinda thing. And giving it an evil aesthetic can be fun but sometimes I think it’d be better to have it be less like “corruption” and more like connecting to them and helping them. Being friends and getting along and all that boring shit. I love that…
Also going on quests is super fun, it’s like a road trip kinda, and that’s definitely much more of a hero thing. Maybe I wouldn’t mind being the hero that has something done to them by the villain every once in a while, as long as everyone wins overall.
So, if you really take all the nuance out of it, like truly all of it, my answer’s heroes every time, because, like, this is a no-nuance zone, and being evil is bad! But with some nuance, it depends on whether I’m in the mood for an adventure or a cool lair. A quest or a scheme. And also it has to be not-actually-evil. Does that make sense?
Really good ask, I had to think about this one a lot. Thanks so much!
