- youtube is absolute garbage yet we depend on it even if we want to demolish it and put a new system and world around it. capitalism allegory am i right?
- dailymotion got nerfed real bad after being purchased by a media conglomerate that doesn't know how to website.
- vimeo is now an "AI powered video platform"
- there are some popular alternatives but they cater to far-right shitheads. fuck these people and i do not feel safe around them as a trans woman.
- you can theorically host your stuff on the activitypub-based fediverse via peertube, but nobody cares and you need to actually maintain and pay the servers which can get really expensive.
- maybe someone might do what i said above on the AT protocol because it can be more than just bluesky
- people tried to revive old youtube many times. remember zippcast? well they always die because you also need the old youtube spirit, not just the GUI, for that to successfully happen... and that can't happen... and the past isn't that bright a lot of the time anyway

So, i had music commissions actually technically open for a while... but this is the first time I actually promote them on this site.
I do a lot of genres: DnB/Jungle, some rock stuff, chiptune (both the more traditional definition and more freeform "fakebit/9-bit" stuff), electronic stuff, more slow downtempo and chill stuff... i just do genre roulette stuff at the moment.
My songwriting and overall feel tends to be more on the emotional and heartfelt side, like i tend to put what i feel and think over a lot of things. Some things that make me happy, other things that make me sad; these are things i want to express in my art (although i also sometimes just do stuff that sounds cool time to time)
