this is also the sprawling open world game experience, for me, at least
this is why i mostly can't play sprawling open world after open world anymore, even though the entire AAA industry seems to want to make that approximately 50% of their entire creative output by weight
i've got maybe one open world game in me every couple years at most. i do still appreciate what the good ones bring to the table in terms of exploration, discovery, and learning to use the systems/simulation before the novel elements dry up
