was just kinda idly thinking about thistles and dandelions a couple days ago
the thistles i walk by on the way to work are almost all taller than i am, the dandelions will grow as tall and far as they have to, with lanky little stems that climb and reach over fences, to wherever they can reach the sun
the idea that they're sneaky little spiky foot-mines or little yellow puffs embedded in grass is an entirely false idea manufactured by the fact that people only ever see them in their lawns, where they artificially lop off the top of any plant taller than a few centimetres every weekend
honestly don't know what the significance of this is but idk it feels like something
