i can't go to hell - i'm all out of vacation days. i watch space rocks and yell at computers for my day job. probably too old for any of this

i think i might be burned out on internet social. it's hard to keep doing it. it's hard to even maintain the amount of attention i'm already giving it

i am the cause of most of my own problems

furthermore, capitalism must be destroyed

birdsona: ?????

everyone's fursona posting and my idiot meat brain absolutely will not let this bandwagon go unhopped-on so this is just the world we live in now.

This one comes from this picrew and is based on a Grey Catbird which is a weird little mimic that'll bounce around shrubs and branches meowing at you.

This isn't really a proper birdsona, really. I haven't had any more art done of them. The near-monotone grey all over look isn't really something I feel a particular connection with. I crave some more colours here! This is... just the first thing I've managed to make that I've felt good enough about using as an avatar or representation, I guess.

I've always had a problem with indecision and there's uh, a lot of possibility space here, haha. Some people have suggested I just make up a lot of birds, but I suppose I just want a kind of representation I can point at and say "me," and that does t really get me there.

But I'm completely sure about the bird thing! In the before-times, I got to go to cons with a silly little bird hoodie with wing-arms and it was just incredibly fun.

Also, I think one quirk with birds that a lot of non-birds don't quite pick up on as much is that it seems pretty common to base a design on one or more particular birds (real or mythological). Bird is really a very broad category - you wouldn't really see furs running around like, "my fursona is a mammal!" and I think a lot of the same thing applies here. Like, an eagle probably has about as much in common with a sparrow as a horse does with a cat.

So anyway, that's a bird and probably too many words and thoughts on birds. I kinda wish I had something more "me" with more art to post here, but.
