I'm just gonna link this old chost because a notification reminded me it existed. But I don't feel the need to put the whole text of the thing back on the TL with a share.
Since I made this months ago I've firmly settled on catbird as being the right birdsona. They do lack a little colour but there are other ways to bring that into a design.
It may not be the most ambitious or visually exciting birdsona out there, but I think it's the right one.
(Plus I can still canonically meow at people this way)
