Apparently the long delayed Ass Creed Black Flag spinoff that became Skull and Bones is actually coming out, and it sounds very much like a typical modern Ubisoft game with steep prices for and within the game that's attempting to fill the niche Sea of Thieves did a while ago once that game figured itself out. And I don't really feel like playing either.

Did Ubisoft make sure to include a proprietary server connection so that they can kill Skull and Bones at a later date? 😄
It appears to be multiplayer-focused so that's a given, but probably even if this was singleplayer they'd tie something to online.
