The thing about YouTube is it's been a trashy site that people only reluctantly use because there's "no alternative" for a long time now, given how there's a whole suite of tools developed over the years to make the site (or at least its content) usable for every misstep the big corporate operation takes. I was even using the name of the site itself as a slang term for whenever a site went to shit before everyone seemed to settle on "enshittification". Also I've typically encouraged people to download whatever videos they like, just in case the RNG claim system deletes a bunch of videos whenever it feels.
