I still enjoy Morrowind especially including being able to strut around as a totally nude lizard person without mods and still be able to take and deal hits with a decent character setup. It's actually been a tradition for my Argonian characters there to not wear pants for a good while at least. Now I know this also applies to Larian games at least between DOS2 and BG3. They know what's up. Also Gex of course. Perhaps if there's other not-just-porn games with this feature I might need to look into those.

So I know of a few things about Gex games, more so the 3D ones as I grew up with that, and now wondering how console and region exclusive content would be handled. I feel like it'd largely be based on the PlayStation or PC versions, but there's some extra stuff across versions, like how the N64 versions got an extra level in exchange for not having cutscenes or sky textures. Then there's the voice actors for Gex who differed by region. I wonder if there's going to be some version selection or stuff will get merged together. Plus I wonder if anything related to Gex Jr. will be included, like the prototype that leaked last year. And then if they'll include the Game Boy versions on top of that. Mainly I'm wondering how "definitive" this would end up being.

Apparently Gex is getting a trilogy re-release on "modern systems" through one of those usual retro re-release providers. I can't wait for even fewer people to get the references. Even back when the games were new I didn't get a lot of them back then for the sake of being young and not yet fully immersed in pop culture osmosis type stuff. I did at least get obvious references like Titanic and Star Wars and Asian media stereotypes mashed together into one "reference" because that's also a thing that comes up. Mainly I thought "wow this is a 3D game where I can play a lizard" because I started on the second one and I was playing on the N64, which for some reason that version lacks sky textures. I'm pretty sure they're going to base the collection on the PlayStation versions, or at least the ones that also have FMV as far as the 3D games.

I mainly played Gex 64 and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron at first when I got that system. I didn't actually get my own copy of Super Mario 64 until much later. I had Star Wars: Episode I Racer before that, and I've also played the re-release of that on Xbone through the Games With Gold thingy I have alongside Game Pass. It's at least reasonably faithful even if the UI looks a bit weird, but I was easily able to remember and input the debug cheat to mess around. And it had FMV.
