Somehow it keeps ending up being both a pretty good and really bad year for games, like between long awaited games coming out and being good versus multiple ongoing problems with publishers and engines. Also every time a live service game comes out, I just think they should stop making live service games for a long time at the very least. I'm not really talking about any in particular either because they're generally all likely guilty of something, with few exceptions if I find any. I figure that's probably a big reason why I've shifted much more to older and indie games overall. Any big new games I do look forward to tends to have some good singleplayer stuff or maybe even something for parties of friends lined up, unless the marketing is that misleading, so even then it's with caution and I don't buy things until they've been out a good while.
