I forgot that there's going to be another entry in the Call of Duty modern reboot remake thingy later this year due to the everything else in games going on. Granted I haven't been interested in new games in that series since they started rebootmaking Modern Warfare and then converted it into another battle royale, but funny to just forget about one of the major reasons a colossal merger is under scrutiny. Meanwhile I did pick up Tears of the Kingdom at a big discount so now I've also got that game to physics through. And also many CDs to sort through.

This is a list of games, not series, that just popped to the top of my head, all out of stuff I've seen or messed with or have, which I find interesting to some degree, regardless of how fun (though I consider many of these to be some kind of fun). I limited it to one per series where applicable, so it's not all just a bunch of favorites from a favorite series. Feel free to question my choices either in taste or to know more about them.

Chart made with this Topsters thing.

So from what I understand, the current-for-the-moment plan for Unity's shitshow of the usual corporate "announce terrible thing then backtrack to slightly less terrible thing after everyone complains" is potentially not-as-bad news for developers and publishers who have old Unity games already out there and aren't being updated, aren't web games, or put on Game Pass and similar, but are also still planning to move to another engine for future or still-active projects because the onslaught of fees is still going to be a thing going forward. It's still not good news but it's slightly less not good at least.
