we gotta figure out if there's some Linux software to map those side mouse buttons on our logitech mouse. that's one thing that's just not gonna fly through Wine: logitech's proprietary software. I am missing holding down the side buttons to be able to scroll without the scroll wheel.

I think this one might be above my paygrade as a linux mint newbie. I learned how to build something with a bash script the other day because they had it available to copy and paste but have no idea how I'd do this one or how to map mouse buttons. appreciate the suggestion though
There's a program, I think it's called piper, that basically replaces ghub. I'm fairly sure it can do button remapping
