it didn't let us vote because we use a VPN (apparently that's not allowed, and we're not willing to turn it off for this)

oh, blocking vpn users was an option zhat was on by default. i didnt zhink to disable it, but now i have.
making accounts is one thing, actually using them a different matter. Not sure how it'll end up.
