This round turned into a kind of funny Ye Mingming mirror match. I went with the Musician side job while my opponent went for Fortune Teller. My goal was to always end up with Heartbroken Tune and another Musician card called Concentric Tune which applies all the debuffs that you have to your opponent. Which doesn't remove your debuffs but a lot of people die fast when their Internal Injury stacks get doubled and the damage at the start of your turn goes from 36 to 72. I had my own Exercise Marrow for a while, but thought I had to drop it for the final round.
(If the card looks confusing, Physique adds to max HP and some can be carried between rounds- We were both ending things at 300+ max HP).
My opponent had a much more technical take on that build, using Cycle of Fate to skip their one attack and keep healing off Lucky Start, meaning they go through their deck faster and can keep healing. They actually beat me with Crash Fist - Shocked countering my whole plan. That card powering up from the HP they've lost, while I'm putting a damage over time effect on them... Concentric Tune was out as a plan.
So having lost to them already I switched to Realm-Killing Palms because why not? And this time while they were still in the process of skipping over their own Realm-Killing Palms I was firing off mine and ultimately took them down with so many 45 damage hits I pushed them off-screen and can't even count the hits.
Something something Day9 why don't you just go kill them.
