Man I love Turn A Gundam and I'm not even sure where I'd start.
I love how taking their mechanical design cues from Syd Mead created a style familiar yet off.
I love how this show trashes colonialism by putting those arguments in the mouth of the Dianna Counter and letting you feel how hollow they are.
I love to hate Guin Rhineford for being exactly the type of shitty person that would be a techbro here and now. (LAURA IT'S CALLED THE BLOCKCHAIN AND)
I love the show's music.
I love how keenly you feel Keith's desperation at being in a scenario where he's selling food to both sides but what can he do he has to survive he has help his girlfriend's family baking is all he has
I love the way that mythology and legend were crafted within the show to make what is recognizable to the audience into the work of gods.
I love how Gym Ghingnham is the Ultimate Tomino Villain, a wannabe ubermensch who is willfully blind to the suffering caused by the war.
I love how they showcase the personal journeys of Dianna and Kihel, the former forced to take responsibility for her rule and the latter to rapidly grow from a sheltered heiress into a ruler.
I could probably keep going on!

The HG Turn A unfortunately isn't very posable, however they did do a fantastic job of capturing all the surface details inscribed on the Turn A and it was real fun (if very time consuming) to carefully bring them out with my trusty grey marker. It does sadden me that the red parts of the beam rifle are wraparound stickers, and those stickers are only about exactly as big as they need to be which makes it all too easy to end up with an exposed seam.

Still, it was a fun build and from one of my all-time favorite series.

Now where's the rest of my Correct Century kits.
